turning off office reminder

We recently purchased an Apple G5 to replace an old G4. Apple G4
contained the full version of Microsoft Office. The G5 contained the
trial version of Office, which allows us to access our documents within
30 days only. The strange thing is that the reminder message only shows
up whenever we try to access the newer
and recent documents. It does not appear whenever we try to open up old
documents. How can we continue using the Office program of G4
transferred to G5, without the "warning reminder"? Or do we need to
purchase another new Office program for the G5 to replace the existing
version which was transfered from G4?

Use the Remove Office tool to uninstall both the version from the G4 and the
Test Drive. Instructions for removing the Test Drive can be found on the
Microsoft site.

Remove the version from the G4 as well. If it's Office X, follow these
instructions:
Remove and re-install Office X. Insert the Office X CD, then open the Value
Pack. Launch the Value Pack Installer. Check "Remove Office", then click
"Continue." Run the "Remove Office" utility.

If it's Office 2004, follow these instructions:
1. Launch the Remove Office tool, located in HD/Applications/Microsoft
Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office.
2. Press the "Continue" button to locate currently installed copies of
Office.
3. Select the version(s) of Office that you want to remove, and press the
"Continue" button.
4. Choose what components you wish to remove. For a complete removal,
choose to "Remove the Office 2004 folder," "Remove the selected Office 2004
system files," and "Preferences."

Next, re-install the purchased version of Office from the original media/CD
and then apply the latest updates.
