Exactly which smart tags do you see that you shouldn't have installed?
The paste and autocorrect tags are not lumped with the other smart tags
(address, date, financial etc) and not installing smart tags will not
affect if you see them.

There is no SMARTTAG opttions in the AUTOCORRECT. Normally there would
be
a
second tab that gives me these choices but it is not there.
I don't understand why the smart tags are even there, any of them. As
I
stated in my first post, I marked them so they would not install in the
first
place. There has got to be a way to prevent them from working.
I really don't like them at all and need them to go away.

Which ones do you get? They are enabled in tools, options, spelling,
autocorrect.

In outlook 2003. How do you turn off smart tags?! I do not have
any
other
part of Office 2003 installed. I just installed the Outlook because
the
computer came with Office 2007 student edition.
When I installed Outlook, I made sure that smart tags should not
have
been
installed, yet they keep popping up. I would like to know how to
permanently
remove them,.
