Turning off "titles" formatting

Somehow, the "titles" option in Word is now part of my default options, even
in a new Word blank document.

Now when I start a new document, *all* the text is set in "titles" format,
even though the ribbon is saying the body of the text should be the default,
Calibri 11pt. I tried using "clear formatting" under the titles group, but no
dice. I got so frustrated, I even uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft
Office 2007, but it didn't correct the problem.

I'm usually able to figure this stuff out, but this problem has me stymied.
Any and all suggestions would be greated appreciated.

Are you saying that when you type the letters are in all caps? If so then
click the dialog box launcher on the Font group, click the check box for
"All Caps" then click the Default button and confirm the change to your
Normal template which is used when you create a blank document.
