turning off .visible on print

Is it possible to put command buttons on a Word Templete (to do
various tasks)that won't show up when I print off a hard copy? In
Access, there is provision for this on a report, so surely there must
be a way to do this in Word, too? Thanks,

You can type something in a document but format it to be hidden so
that it doesn't print. I put a word count field etc in hidden format
at the end of essays.

Select your text, select format, Font, Select Hidden option. It will
show on the screen but it won't print.
