Turning on GRID in powerpoint 2008 for Mac

Can't remember for certain & don't have a Mac available to check so take
this as what may be a valiant - but unsuccessful - reply:) IIRC:

Turn on the Drawing toolbar, click the Draw button & see if the feature you
seek isn't there. I'll double-check when I get home & post back with a
correction if I'm wrong - unless someone else spanks me first:)

control G turns the guides in my version. . . not the grid. how do you see the gridlines?
