turning ON hyphenation in Word 2003

LindaKS

I would like to permanently turn ON hyphenation and am using Word 2003. I
know to go under Tools, Language and lick on the hyphenation, but I cannot
find where to set it as a default. Thanks a bunch for your help!

Open your template as a document, via File | Open, turn on hyphenation, save
and close the file. Hyphenation will then be enabled for all new documents
created from that template.

Open the template (.*dot file) as you would open a document. If you are not
using a specific template, then your document is based on the blank document
template, called normal.dot. The exact location of normal.dot depends on the
version of Windows (for example, on Windows XP it is usually in C:\Documents
and Settings\your_user_name_here\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates).
Also, normal.dot resides in a hidden folder, which means that you must
display hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer before you can open it.
See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm.
