I followed the same steps as you, and got the same result. The steps I
presume you followed were:
1. Log into PWA with project manager permissions
2. Navigate to the Project Center
3. Select and project and click the Open button
After being logged into Project Server through Microsoft Project
Professional using the project manager account, I confirmed that the Save
Offline menu option is not available. I closed the project and then
reopened it directly using File - Open, and then Save Offline menu option is
still not available. I then closed Microsoft Project and run the program
manually, logging in with my project manager account. I opened the project
using File - Open and this time the Save Offline menu option is available.
I can only surmise that opening a project through Project Web Access somehow
prevents the Save Offline feature from working. I would welcome comments
from anyone else in the group who has more knowledge about this. Hope this
helps, at least a little.
