Turning word grouped figures into single hi res images in other programs

Hi,

I've created figures in Word 2003 that are composed of tif, bmp, or
gif files I copied in and also word drawing objects like lines and
arrows. I want to take the whole group object and paste them into an
editor like irfan and save as single tif flies without any effect on
the resolution. Irfan seems to have trouble with it. Any idea on how
to do this?
