I have just encountered an unusual problem. We are running Access
2000, and accessing the databases over a network.
Today we are finding that we are not able to open two of the databases
at the same time. If one of the databases is open, and we try to open
the other, all that happens is that the focus moves to the originally
opened database, restoring the window if necesary. We have tested this
behaviour on two machines, and it is the same for both.
If we try to open any other databases we do not have a problem.
I don't know if it is related, but this morning I ran compact and
repair on our most frequently used databases.
