two databases that need to share table

I need to create a new database called Sales that uses one of the tables
from my Project database. I do NOT want the new database to be able to edit
the data in the shared table.
I will create forms to collect data in the new database and combine it with
the data in the Project database for reports and queries. It is important
the Project database data is not compromised.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance

Open your Sales database to the database window and tables. Click on File -
Get External Data - Link. Navigate to the Project table and link to the
table you want. Don't build any forms that include a field from your Sales
table and you won't change any data in the Sales table. Building queries and
reports that include the Sales table will not change any of the data in the
Sales table.

Hey Mark/Steve!! We don't need you here !!
Hey Mark/Steve!! We don't want you here !!

This is to inform 'newbees' here about PCD' Steve:http://home.tiscali.nl/arracom/whoissteve.html     (updated, mainly the 'abuse-reporting' page...)
Until now 6000+ pageloads, 4000+ first-time visitors
(these figures are real and rapidly increasing)

Why is this ???
Because Steve is the ONLY person here who continues to advertise in the groups.

It is not relevant whether he advertised in *this* particular post or not....
==> We want him to know that these groups are *not* his private hunting grounds!

For those who don't like too see all these messages:
==> Simply killfile 'StopThisAdvertising'.
Newbees will still see this warning-message.

You know whats sad...teh StopThisAdvertising poster is more annoying
than Steve is. The only thing I've seen Steve do is give advice and
maybe, maybe add one line that says Contact me if you would like me to
set it up for a fee. May be against TOS (I don't know, didn't read
that closely), but his 1 line is a lot less annoying than your 1 page
post.
