I have recently re-imaged on my computer, and found that I ended up with a few
duplicate pages in FP editor. I deleted the duplicates and http'd to the
server, to replace and overwrite all of the current web.
Having trouble with the Top Shared Border of index.htm (home page) once I view
it on the web. I think there is a simple solution, but I can't figure it out. I
think it comes from re-naming my Index page a while back. I have looked at it a
few ways:
..................................
(1) Page view in FP Editor index.htm
Title on top shared border: "My Plain Named Web"
Page Banner text (properties): "My Plain Named Web"
Links correct in top shared border and left shared border
Rest of page is fine
.......................................
(2) In FP Editor index.htm
Navigation View properties
and Folders View Title:
"My Plain Named Web (Name, Name) Country, Country - 16th Century"
..........................................
(3) On the web. No Title or Links in top shared border
No links in left shared border
Rest of page is fine
URL reads http://home.my ISPserver.com/plainweb/
If I go to another page and use a link back to the home page, then I get a a
correct page that contains "My Plain Named Web" with links in both top shared
border and left border. When that happens, the URL reads:
http://home.my ISPserver.com/plainweb/index.htm
On the web, if I rightclick the home page (index.htm) and look at the General
Properties tab, it reads:
"My Plain Named Web (Name, Name) Country, Country - 16th Century"
.......................................
Would I change the title (from the long name to the short name) on the
Navigation page, or on the Folders Page?
Or is there a hidden index file in limbo to delete? Or is this the right fix?
The report summary says I have no broken links.
