I'm not a big fan of creating extra tasks in a project to handle this
multiple hyperlink issue. Although it might be simpler, I'm not sure it is
a wise practice. In theory, each task should represent real work to be
performed in a project, so adding extra tasks to allow for multiple
hyperlinks doesn't make a lot of sense.
A better practice, I believe, would be for your company to establish a
methodology on how to use multiple hyperlinks on a task. This might require
the creation of a custom Table which displays multiple hyperlinks, as I
mentioned in my previous post. You could make a copy of the Hyperlink
table, give it an original name, remove the Hyperlink and Subaddress
columns, and then add the maximum number of custom Text fields needed to
match your company's methodology (for example, you can add up to 6
additional hyperlinks to a task). Your people could then simply apply this
Table any time they needed to add multiple hyperlinks.
Just an idea. Perhaps the others will have some ideas for you also. Hope
this helps.
