Two people receive responses from meeting request sent out

I have a user that routinely sends out meeting requests on her boss's behalf.
When each of the invitees reply, she gets the reply as expected, but her
boss gets a reply as well.

Is there a reason this is happening? And can anyone think of how this could
be turned off?
