Two problems

Hi

Can anyone help me? I have 2 problems to which I would appreciate help.
Both involve problems which occurred at work.

1. Is there any way in which I can remove the built-in Microsoft templates
from our machines at the office because they clutter up our desktops when we
try to open templates in the normal manner? We run a combination of Office
2000 Pro and Office 2003 Pro & SBE.

2. Occasionally, a user opens and saves an Excel spreadsheet in Word which
then means that the item cannot be opened in Excel. Other than by restoring
the document from the backup, which will, of course, mean that the
spreadsheet is slightly older, I have to copy and paste into a new
spreadhsheet and then reset all my formulae. There does not seem to be a
way of converting. Does anyone kn ow of a quick way of doing this.

I await your help eagerly.

It sounds as though your users are doing this deliberately. The only way
I could get Word to overlay an Excel document was to force it by typing
the name in quotes in the "Save As" dialog box. Tell to users to stop
that.
