hello there,

I have my DB and i want to use the wizard to apply admin rights for two people just to run reports and enter data......not view or edit my design in the DB.Ok, i have tried (and gotten into a jam with this area before) so am i wanting to use admin rights and transfer what i have done at home and apply it at work. The internet is out of the question, so can i burn this file on cd and by doing this...what do i burn, the shortcut(is it neeeded for the admin security to work) and the DB? What happens if the shortcut is ever deleted by mistake from a users desktop?

You will need the same MDW file at home and at work. Obviously, you
will also need to copy the MDB file. Re-create the shortcut if
accidentaly deleted.

I've written a paper about Access security. Find a link on the website
in my signature.

It's a standard Windows shortcut. The target should be
"<fullPathToMsAccess.exe>" "<FullPathToMDBFile>" /wrkgrp
"<fullPathToMDWFile>" .

Obviously, you would enter the appropriate paths for your computer.
The quotation marks are absolutely required if any of the paths
contain spaces. It all goes on one line in the target.

Again - read the information in the links in my signature.
