I am using FP 2003 and on another computer FP 2002.

Can I have a shared boarder on top for my banner and one on the left side from my menu?

Hi Charles,

You certainly could do that if you want..however you might want to look into what are called "include pages" as a more flexible option to shared borders.

yes you can all four borders on if you want.
Just choose format > shared borders and check the boxes for the ones you want then choose apply to current page or to all pages.

You mentioned using two different versions of FP for authoring web sites. I can't remember where I read this but it mentioned that there was a potential for trouble when using two different versions (on the same site) depending on I believe the different features that were a part of the web site. Am I delusional or is that true anyone???

Sorry to mislead you. The two different versions are on two different computers and I only work on one web site on one computer. I work two days a week and work on there web site there. At home I work on a couple of web sites using FP 2002.

The problem I have with include files is that I don't know how to have a fraction of a page. It looks to me like I would have to include a page that was mostly blank and then add my page material to the included file.

An include page can be any size and used anywhere in any pages
The FP Include page must be a valid html page,
but only the content inside of the BODY tags is included in the pages using it

Below is a valid include page

<html><head></head><body>
<H3>My Name</H3>
</body></html>

I think you'll have to ask the boarders. I think it is permissible to
share them if they are both/all adults and freely give consent, although
it probably offends certain religious or moral convention somewhere.

Requiring them to be in certain locations shouldn't be a problem --
that's standard practice in most common leases.
