Obviously, one of the useful features of BCM is the ability to link
tasks, emails, etc. to records and accounts. However, it seems like
this is only linked one way. In other words, if you have a contact
open, you can easily examine what emails were sent to and from them.
However, if you have an email open, there doesn't seem to be an easy
way to see what contacts are linked to it. The same is true for
tasks.
Now, if I receive a task from someone that's linked to a contact, I
want to know that it's linked when I receive the task. I want to be
able to open the task, click a button, and go to the associated
contact. It only makes sense. However, the only way I really see of
doing that is by clicking "Link to Record" and double-clicking the
contact listed at the bottom of the window that shows up. However,
that contact window is the child of the linking window, which is a
child of the task itself. That means neither of the two latter
windows can be worked with or closed until the contact is closed
(which can be quite annoying).
Is there a quick and simple way to go to an associated contact from a
task or email? Or should I request this feature for the next BCM
version?
