Type a Number

When we try to make changes in Tools, Options, once we click on OK, we
receive a message that says "Type a number between 1 and 1638". What is
causing that and how can we get rid of it. Thanks

It would help to know what version of Word is involved as well as what
settings changes you are trying to make.

The message you cite refers to font size, something which is not changed by
the Options settings.

Sorry 'bout that. We are using Word 2003, SP1 (haven't installed 2 yet -
still testing). Actually, it does not matter which setting I try to change,
we still get that message. But, as an example, in the View tab, I tried to
select Vertical Scroll Bar, I could put the check mark in, but once I click
on OK, I get the message. Track Changes tab, if I try to change balloon
printing from Always to Never, still get the message. Anything that I try to
change, will give me that message.

I know that the message pertains to font size. That is what makes this so
baffling.
