Type (C) and get copyright symbol

When I type (C) I get the copyright symbol. I have
figured out how to stop this in Word but the same
procedure (backspace) doesn't work in Access or Excel.

You have two choices:

1. Go to Tools, AutoCorrect and remove the autocorrect item for (c)

2. Open your form in design view and select the control for that field. In
the properties dialog, set the 'allow autocorrect' property to No.

The first one will turn it off in all applications, which you may not want.

Select Tools... Options... Spelling, and click the Autocorrect
options. Either remove (C) from the list, or just turn it off
altogether - as handy as it is in Word, it's pretty much useless in
Access most of the time.

I've read somewhere that (C) is not a valid symbol for copyright protection.
Are you sure you don't want it changer?

You don't want it changed if (as I had to do at one point) you're
trying to enter a list into a memo field:

(A) Something
(B) some other thing
© yet another thing
