Type mismatch error in query, please help

Michel

I have created a query in my database that links courses to reports (it’s a
report card database)

I’m using Access 2003 but the file format is on access 2000 because that
person to who to database is intended uses access XP.

Sometimes when I open the database, its gives me a mismatch error. When I
looked closely, the join in the query changes.
I fixed it, and everything worked ok. Next time when I opened the database,
the same problem happened….
Why does the join changes?

Please help

Let's look at this one step at a time. Take a look at the data type of the
joining fields, are they the same?

I have ckeched, same datatype = Number long int against number long int. It
works fine with access 2003 only have problem with access 2002 and 2000

Does the message pop up when you open the database or when you run the query?
How does the query get called? from a form, a report?
