Type to find in Inbox does not work - OL2007

In OL 2007 Inbox I can't type to find emails.
I put the emails in From oder
I see and emails from John Smith
I start typing john
Nothing
If I do the same thing in the Deleted folder it work just fine. Finds all my
John Smith emails.
This only happens in the inbox. Works fine in Sent, Deleted, and all my
perssonal folders.
I do not have Instant Search installed. Don't really want to.

JohnH,

You may have to rebuild your Index via the Control Panel. Look up Reset
Indexing in Help.
