Typed one page but prints one typed and one untyped page

What setting controls the "extra page" syndrome where I type on one page
(and scroll down and there is a blank page also) --go to print the typed
page and it prints a blank page as well.

(1) Get rid of that blank page.

(2) Tell the printer to print current page only.

Or you could go to the end of the text and continuality press delete
until the extra page dissapears.
