typing being done in my documents

I don't know if I am contacting the correct newsgroup,
but I hope that I will be able to get some help from
you. When I open a word, publisher or even microsoft
explorer, I sometimes find that typing is being done in
the programmes with me even touching the keyboard. What
could be the cause of this? It is a real nuisance, since
I get things typed in my documents and if I am not
watchful I print out the documents with
the "unauthorized" typing. Please give me some
information on why this is happening and what can be done
to stop it.

It sounds like Speech Recognition is the culprit. Take a look under
the Tools menu and see if it is enabled.
