Hi,
I have an english version of Office 2003 on an english version of WinXP & I
have also installed Proofing Tools 2003. Is it possible type in Chinese in
an Office application? I have done the following from using the online help
within Word.
Set up system support
1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Control Panel, and then click Date,
Time, Language, and Regional Options.
2. Click the Regional and Language Options icon, and then click the
Languages tab.
3. In the Supplemental languages support box, select the check boxes that
correspond to the languages you want to use.
Enable Traditional Chinese for editing
1. In Microsoft Windows, click Start, point to Programs or All Programs,
point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click
Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings.
2. Click the Enabled Languages tab.
In the Available languages box, select the language you want to enable.
3. If you do not see the language that you want, or if you see (limited
support) next to a language in the Available languages box, you may need to
install additional system support for the language. The available support
depends on your operating system.
4. Click Add.
Within Windows in Regional and Language Options I've ticked the Install
files for East Asian languages. I've also added Chinese Simplified &
Traditional within the enabled languages in Microsoft Office 2003 Language
Settings.
I'm not sure if I'm missing something - but any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks
