typing entry in word suddenly skips to middle of line

When I am typing in Word, i will suddenly see what I type
ent I alreadyering in the middle of what
ing

See above....that is what happens...all of a sudden, what
I type suddenly starts appearing at random anywhere on
the page or in the middle of what I already typed.
Whatever is causing this? It is very annoying!
Please help!!!
