typing errors

After running Word (XP) for a while, my typing begins to miss keys, until
quickly it is virtually impossible to type. This does not affect other
programs (it's not the keyboard, which is MS Natural). I correct the problem
by rebooting the computer.

I've also developed problems w/ spellcheck not working -- I can solve that
by unclicking spellcheck in tools, closing it, and then re-clicking.

These problems came about more or less simultaneously, tho I can't be certain.

Possibility - Norton AV Office plug-in. If you have it, disable the plug-in.

I'm running an updated Corporate Edition that, according to the lit at least,
shouldn't be a problem.

Disable the plug-in. It may be the source of this problem and I don't know
of anything it helps with.

Possibly either a printer driver corruption or you need to update your
graphics driver. Check both manufacturers' sites to see that you have the
latest drivers and then reinstall them.

If a previous version of NAV was installed, which contained the
plug-in, and Norton CE was installed later the DLL for the plug-in
could still be registered.

Search for officeav.dll and if found go to Start/Run and run the
following command:

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\norton antivirus\officeav.dll"

In the above example the path for "Officeav.dll" would depend on the
location of the DLL.
