I created a template (.dotm) but now when I try and edit it or type on it it won't let me? How do I do this?

Are you trying to create a new document based on the template or are you
trying to revise the template itself? If the former, do not *open* the
template file. Use File> Project Gallery to create a new file or navigate to
& double+Click the file icon in a Finder window rather than using File>
Open. If that's what you're doing but can't edit the resulting file or if
you can't edit the template itself please supply the info requested below.

It would be helpful if you'd provide descriptive details on how you created
the template, what it includes, etc. - "template" covers a lot of territory.
Also indicate your exact version update of Office.
