Typing speed slows down with open toolbox

Problem continues. When my toolbox is open on the desktop the cursor cannot keep up with my typing. As soon as I close the toolbox, the cursor speed comes back to normal.

I have 12.1.5 on my iMac. I heard on this forum that this is indeed a bug and that an earlier service pack would fix it. But here I am months later and it still persists.

Does anyone know if Microsoft is on top of this problem? It's not a big issue but it is very annoying. Any insights on when it might be addressed?

The fix for this issue has already come out, you already have it.

However, on a heavily-loaded PPC machine (particularly if it's short of
memory) I think the fix does not completely fix the problem.

You may try running the Office Removal tool, then re-installing and
re-applying he latest updates, just in case one of your updates has not
applied correctly. But I do not think that will do any good, because if the
update does not apply correctly that normally leads to crashes, not "slow
downs".

I am sure that Microsoft is "on top of" this issue, but I really can't see
how it would make business sense for Microsoft to spend any more time and
money on PPC code, so I don't think we should expect any further fixes for
the PPC code.

Hope this helps
