Typing with spanish alphabet

I don't know if this is better for the Office forum or the Windows XP
forum. Here is my problem. My son is taking Spanish and needs to be
able to type reports in Spanish. What do I need to do to make the
Spanish special characters such as the accent marks and the upside
down question mark work in Word straight from the keyboard. In other
words, how do I map the keyboard to Spanish?

Word has keyboard shortcuts for the more common European letters. For
example, small letter n with tilde can be entered by typing
Ctrl+Shift+[tilde] followed by "n". From within Word, click Help and
search for "insert symbol" for more information.
