Hello,
Microsoft co-designed the opentype format. It allows for wonderfully rich
typographic support, such as ligature replacement, choosing old-style
figures and many others. Sadly Word cannot seem to use ANY opentype
features; so I was wondering if anyone here knew of a third-party extension
to get better typographic support into word?
Also, after the pleasure of seeing Adobe InDesign word-space justified
paragraphs, I wondered if there was anything to improve the fairly poor
spacing evident in Word's justified text? This spacing can heavily impact
the readability of text, and it seems amazing if no-one has tried to get
Word's text output (surely the main goal of a word-processor?) more
legible.
