UG Access 2K to Access 2003 and now get a plugin.ocx missing msg

We upgraded to Access 2003 and now a string macro that calls the user name is
failing, and on login to the program I get a message that there is a missing
or broken reference to plugin.ocx version 1.0. What is going on and how do I
fix it?
