UID error - Outlook 2003

"Your Server Has Reported a UID Which Does Not Comply with the IMAP Standard"

I received this error once I configured several IMAP email-accounts in the
same profile, the worse point if I use ny other e-mail client
(Thunderbird-Evolution, etc) set the sme e-mail accounts "works fine"

I refer to this Kb: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=294779

However the resolution is not very useful "To resolve this behavior, remove
the IMAP account and create a new one"

I am using Outlook 2003 client , Server= Visnetic E-Mail Server running on a
Windows 2000 Server.

Thanks comments

While not very useful, as you say, it may be the only one. Outlook's
handling of multiple accounts, especially multiple IMAP accounts (or even a
single IMAP account) seems to be less than optimal.

well ... I respect your opinion, but I am not agree with it. How is possible
that Microsoft doesn't support this error. It is very important to me that on
marketing department I have people that need to check and work with several
e-mail accounts (IMAP),

Do I need to install third-party solutions (thunderbird, etc) to solve the
problem that I have with my clients ....

Increible !!!!

It is, after all, just an opinion.

They may very well have an answer and if you may for the support, they may
give it to you.

Use the tool that works, I always say.

That should be "...and if you pay for the support..."

Realistically, Open Source is not a panacea. How many people do you think
would have the knowledge to correct an open source distribution were they to
find a problem with it, or add to an open source program were they to want
an improvement?

Hi Misaro,

Do you have IMAP logs you could post that were taken in a period of the
error? Please don't post the whole huge log, but mainly the snippet
around the error.

That might help with figuring out what is wrong here.

Thanks,

Patrick Schmid
