Uisng pot template files with PPT 2007

I have plenty of great looking PPT template files which i am using
with pppt 2003 . Will there be aproblem using these with p[owerpoint
2007 ? As i am given to believe that the extension has changed to
potx. Can i add 'x' to the extension and expect them to become
usable or is their any other way to support these older template
files?

Shouldn't be a problem, really. I'd suggest you delete all extraneous color
schemes in 2003, though, before using them in 2007.

You cannot just add an X to the extension. PPT 2007 can use POT files
(either open them or apply them to a file, just as you would in 2003), or
you can open the POT in 2007 and use Save As to save as a POTX.
