UK Income Tax calculation

Hi everyone,

I know this isn't the right forum to ask this question, but I hope to get
some responses from UK guys.

I would like to know if someone knows some good sites which would help me
calculate income tax for UK. Or if someone has a ready-made excel template
for UK income tax calculation could mail me directly.

Hi Mangesh,

Most of the information should be obtainable from the Inland Revenue
website, http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/home.htm.

You can certainly register to be assessed on line, or at least I know that
UK citizens can. But the rules should be presented somewhere there. Also, if
you register to be self-assessed, you can get a pack showing you how to
calculate the tax. I wrote a tax calculator a few years ago, but the problem
I found was constant changing of the rules, and I couldn't be bothered to
keep it up-to-date.
