i installed SBE office 2003 on a new vista computer after uninstalling it
from my old XP computer. however, at the start up of all office programs such
as words, excel etc, the EULA keeps popping up despite me accepting the
agreement many times. how do i get rid of it? i have already activated the
product. would appreciate yr help!

If you have Windows XP, then log in to Windows as Administrator, start
an Office program, accept the EULA, close the Office program, log out of
Windows as Administrator, and log back in to Windows using your normal
user profile.

If you have Windows Vista, then right-click on an Office program
shortcut, choose to run the Office program as Administrator, accept the
EULA, close the Office program, and then start the Office program normally.

If the previous suggestion doesn't help, then see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=884202 "You must accept the Office
End User License Agreement every time that you start an Office program".

Have tried your fix but when I come to 'choose to run the Office program as
Administrator' this option is not available? the dialogue presents only the
following options open, Pin to start Menue, add to quick launch, send to,
cut, copy, delete,rename, properties
I am a basic user and need to have step by step help! Can you assist?

I have the same problem you described, Andrew. I tried the instructions in
the Work Around topic at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=884202, but my
registry key is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0. I think
the problem is that I am running Office 2003 with Vista.
Does it make sense to change the reg key from 12 to 11? The 11 key is for
Office 2003 according to the referrenced web site. Maybe I'll back up the
registry and try it and see if it works.
