UML Class Diagrams, Off-page References & Valid Inherit Relationsh

Is there a way for me to have a UML diagram that spans multiple pages using
off-page references, BUT also keeps the inheritance relationship links
(generalizations) valid?

I have tried using the Off-page Reference shape and connecting the
generalizations through that, but the relationships aren't recognized. By
that I mean that I am using the XMIExporter add-on and the generalizations
aren't recognized by the exporter in the document it outputs.

I am using Visio2003.

Any help is really appreciated.

Hi,

unfortunately no - the "highest" element in a hierarchy is the page for any
UML diagram in VIsio

Thanks for the reply.

For anyone else that may encounter this situation, it may already be obvious
to others, but I was able to keep the inheritance relationships in my UML
diagram by organizing my diagram so that it spans multiple printed pages and
also changed the size of the diagram page in the Page Setup for easier
viewing. This allows me to keep the structure of my diagram intact and makes
it easier to print when I need to.
