UML & Database Model - Internal Data Store?

Hi,

I'm wondering where documents like the database model is storing all of it's
tables, columns, and relationship information. Is there some way to get at
this data? It's not the text property of the shape as that doesn't contains
enough detail.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Both of those tools are custom coded and the data is stored internally.
There is no published interface.

Then how can you save and re-open the document. It must be stored somewhere,
SolutionXML? , internal spreadsheet.. somewhere.

AFAIK it's stored as a binary image in the document.
