UML Deployment Stereotypes

I've made a UML deployment diagram, but the "stereotype" field of the "node"
properties is grayed-out. Why?

What I want to do, is change the appearance of a node from the usual box, to
a database "drum" shape. I think that is done by setting the stereotype, but
as I just stated, the stereotype option is grayed-out. Help!

What I've found so far: it is grayed-out because by default, the UML of Visio
2003 does not have any stereotypes defined for "nodes." I have to add new
ones myself. Still, I don't know how to change the shape of the UML element
(in this case a "node") based on the (newly defined) stereotype? Anyone know
how to do this?
