un-openable file

help please!

My computer froze while I was working on a Word document.
The file had been saved recently, but now I can't access
the file at all.

I get a message: "The document name or path is not valid.
Try checking file permissions or use file open dialog box."

I've already checked the permissions..all clear.

any ideas how I can open that file?
