Un-publish a project from the server

A client of mine has all his projects on the MPS. This also includes posible
future project.
In case such a future project is postponed or set on hold, they obviously
don't want to see the claimes on recources anymore. However, "saving as file"
and than deleting such a project from the server would result in the
permanent loss of all it's issues and risks. You don't want to lose that
information.

Is it posible to set a published project 'on hold' or to un-publish it?

Yes. You can do several things:

1. Open the project that is put on hold, then click Tools - Build Team from
Enterprise. Set the Booking value for each team member to Proposed and
click OK. Then click Collaborate - Publish - All Information. Doing so
will clear the tasks from each team member's timesheet in PWA.

2. While you have the project open, you should click Tools - Tracking -
Update Project. Select the "Reschedule uncompleted work to start after"
option and enter a date one day earlier than you believe work will resume on
the project. Click OK and all uncompleted work will be rescheduled into the
future.

Hope this helps.
