Un-sent message remains in Outbox

I have a message that, although it was sent, remains in my Outbox. The
message was received, yet is still displayed in my Outbox. I have not been
able to open or delete the message. When I close Outlook I receive the
"unsent message" warning. Any ideas?

This happened to me the other day. Kinda curious. I fixed mine by
clearing the FORMS:

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Other tab, and then click Advanced Options.
3. Click the Custom Forms... button.
4. Click the Manage Forms... button.
5. Click Clear Cache.
6. Close all open windows.
7. Select the FILE menu.
8. Select EXIT to close Outlook (this allows Outlook to perform
housekeeping in the system, just hitting the "x" does not do this)
9. Open Outlook fresh.
