Unable to access Help in Office 2007

I've recently upgraded to Office 2007 and when I click on the help icon or
take F1, I get a message box with the following message:

Setup Error
The Setup controller has encountered a problem during install. Please
review the log files for further information on the error.
This is followed by an OK button. When I click OK I get Please wait whilst
Windows configures Microsoft Office MUI (English) 2007, followed by a new
message box that says:

Microsoft Office Help Viewer
There are no help topics available that match your request.

I've tried completely uninstalling Office and reinstalling it from scratch
to no avail.

I get the same thing in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, Visio and
Project.

Has anyone any ideas? Its driving me mad!

I am having similar problem. Help works in Word and Powerpoint but fails in
Excel and Outlook.
I get this message:

"There is a problem with one or more help files. Repair or reinstall your
Office installation and try again".

Repaired and reinstalled until I was numb. Nothing helps

Me too! Me too! After installing (twice), repairing (numerous times), and
sifting through these posting, there does not seem to be an answer--this year
anyway

Does anyone have any solutions for this issue? I'm currently stumped a
to how to solve it. Repairing or reinstalling Office 2007 does not hel
it. This is on Windows Vista SP1 and Office 2007 SP1

When I press either F1 or press the question mark help icon in an
Office 2007 Enterprise program, a dialog box appears saying: "Pleas
wait whil
Windows configures Microsoft Office MUI (English) 2007" It looks like
dialog for an installer

After about a second it disappears and another message box pops u
saying "There are no help topics available that match your request.

Some additional information

This is Vista x64
Office 2007 is installed to a hard drive separate from the OS. Th
installation path is D:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office. Windows i
installed on the C:\ drive

Hi

Have the same issue. Help not working in any of the Office 2007 suite
Clicking "?" or pressing F1 results in:-

Office configuration process then,

it configures Microsoft Office MUI (English) 2007 and ultimately (afte
several minutes) tells me,

"There are no help topics available that match your request."

New Vista laptop, new install of Office 2007 (reinstalled twice
diagnosed several times).

Arrgghh
