unable to access portfolio analyzer via internet

I am having difficulty setting up our project server web access to
allow access to the portfolio analyzer through the internet. We can
access everything fine internally on the same domain as the server,
however, externally we get the error message that the cube may not be
built or you do not have access to view.

The user who is testing is set up as an administrative user on web
access and has rights through analysis services. He has Project Pro
'03 installed on his PC and is set up as a user on the server machine.
When he pings our domain address, he can log in fine to the machine and
get through to web access, but cannot view portfolio analyzer at all.

I've read through all of the previous discussions on this and cannot
find the answer needed. I'm in the process of trying adding registry
keys, but I'm not sure that's the issue. We're in the initial stages
and are trying to avoid the cost of Terminal Services. The OLAP cube
is routed correctly both internally and through the extranet(I
believe). I've read through MS's knowledge base, and have dug through
all three manuals, and cannot find the solution. Any help or direction
would be greatly appreciated.

You need to have the enterprise version of SQL Server 2000 to support access
to the OLAP cube via the internet.
