My rial expired. When I insert my 25 character product key on my purchased
One Note, the installation process almost finishes: then an error message.

When I try to reinstall another trail version, that fails.

And questioning Micrososft leads to my being told that my product key is not
a valid one.

I assume that if I use my XP Add or Remove facility to remove the present
trial version it will remove the critical notes as well as the program. Is
that right?

What can I do?

Where did you purchase the product and how much did you pay?

Aloha Steve,

Removing the trial version will not delete the notes. If you want to be
extra-safe make a copy of your "My Notebook" folder (should be under the
My Documents folder if I recall correctly) someplace like a flash drive or
else where on your system.

Where did you purchase the product key from?
