unable to add line in timesheet

We have a EPM 2007 server that we have to reconfigure. One of the problems
that we see is that users can add a line in timesheets. But when selecting
some line to add, an error is displayed (translated from dutch): an unkown
error has occured (sharepoint error).

This servers seems to have worked before without problems. There were no
server reconfigurations.

Could this be related to the way people plan and assign resources in
MSProjct 2007? Is this a known issue? Or is this more likely a problem in the
server configuration.

Johan:

I can't say for certain that this is the cause, but it smacks of database
corruption, probably with one of the assignments on the timesheet or with
the project you're trying to add the task to. Does this happen for all users
and all projects? If so, it might indicate a configuration or other systemic
problem.

It seems that older, already opened, timesheets, there is nog problem. In new
timesheets, this problem happens. I can choose whole projectname lines
without a problem. If I choose a line at a lower level 9tasks) then I get
this error.

I'm afraid you're right and it will become diffuclt, maybe impossible to
recreate the database. It is diffucult to say which backup has a right
database, so it will be trial and error system to get back to a sound
database.

Delete time sheets and then recreate them once again.. This normally 'cures'
the symptom.. !!
