What you scanned is irrelevant. A scanner will only produce an image of what
is being scaned, the software associated with the scanning operation will
permit you to save the image in some graphical format (.gif, .itf, .jpg etc.
etc).
If you wish to use this image as an editable text or word processing
document then the image file needs to be processed through an Optical
Character Recognition (OCR) package, this may or may not be provided with
your scanner software.
Please be aware that OCR software is not always 100% accurate and you will
have to check the resultant document carefull especially if "fancy" fonts
have been used.
If there are graphical images in the resume then these will probably have to
be scanned separetely and reinserted into the final document.
