I am rather desperate for some help with an issue we are experiencing with a
customer Project server 2007 migration. We have migrated a PS 2007
environment to a new farm but split out the project workspaces into their own
site collection so we have a http://server/PWA for PWA and
http://server/Workspaces for the existing project workspaces. I referred to
Christophe Fiessingers blog entry titled "Adding an EPM Web Part to another
SharePoint site" (
http://blogs.msdn.com/chrisfie/arch...-epm-web-part-to-another-sharepoint-site.aspx
) but this did not resolve the issue. I noticed several other people
experiencing this same behaviour but can not track down a resolution. The
project server Project description webpart can be added in the PWA collection
but not in the workspaces collection. The clients site template includes the
Project Description (drill down) web part. The account accessing the site is
farm admin/god access so i don't believe it's security, despite the 401 error
when adding the webpart to the page. Its as if the workspace site collection
does not know where to reference the PSI or something its dependant on. Have
you seen this issue before and know how to resolve it? If so i would most
certainly appreciate your help.
