Unable to Add Records in Subform

Ken Mitchell

Hi, folks. I have a database that used to work in Access 2003; now it
doesn't in Access 2007. The database is a highly -modified version of the
Northwind.mdb to track customers and orders.

The main form is based on the Orders Query, and the subform is based on
Order Details. I can add new Orders records in the main form, but cannot add
any new records in Order Details.

I can edit subform records, and I can _delete_ records from the subform; I
just can't add NEW records (the specific items being ordered) to the Order
Details.

If I open the subform directly, I can add new records, and I've checked the
properties of the subform to be sure that Add, Delete and Edit permissions
are all set.

This database did work in Access 2003, and doesn't now that I have
downgraded to Access 2007. (My rants about Office 2007 don't properly belong
in this forum.) I suspect that this is another example of Access "helpfully"
screwing things up.

I welcome suggestions. Thank you.
