Unable to Apply Theme

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

About a week ago I used Excel to make a spreadsheet and applied a document theme successfully. Today, was prompted to install latest version of Office.... Installed & restarted. Created new file in excel and am now unable to apply a theme to a document. Any ideas? Thanks.

First make sure that you've repaired disk permissions after any updates &
that you haven't saved the file in .xls [rather than .xlsx] format.

You'll also have to provide a more detailed description of what Theme you're
using, how you're trying to "apply" it, what your expectations are & what
does happen as a result. Keep in mind that Themes in Excel only apply to
items from the Elements Gallery, such as Charts, SmartArt, etc.
