It sounds like there is a temporary macro hanging around in your
Normal.dot that wasn't deleted correctly.
If you aren't familiar with using the VBA Editor to delete macros then
locate Normal.dot and rename it to OldNormal.dot. Word will create a
new one upon starting.
If this resolves the problem, any customizations can be copied to the
new Normal.dot via the Organizer (Tools/Templates and Add-Ins) Once
this is complete OldNormal.dot can be discarded. If the problem still
exists then you can delete the new Normal.dot and rename your
OldNormal.dot to Normal.dot.
If you would prefer to not recreate Normal.dot then post back and
we'll provide you with specific instructions on how to delete the
macro using the VBA Editor. If I'm not mistaken these temporary macros
do not display in the Macros dialog box available in the application.
